In 2020, Ghana positioned itself as a leader in gold refining in sub-Saharan Africa, reflecting its status as the continent's largest gold producer. However, true value chain transformation requires a deep understanding of intangible aspects such as R&D, marketing, and building strong brands. The DRC, with much of its gold still mined by artisanal and often fraudulent means, presents a unique opportunity for investors.
